Doraemon: Nobita and the Galaxy Super-Express^[2] (ドラえもん のび太と銀河超特急エクスプレス, Doraemon Nobita to Ginga Ekusupuresu), also known as Doraemon and the Galaxy Express,^[3] is a feature-length Doraemon film which premiered in Japan on March 2, 1996, based on the 16th volume of the same name of the Doraemon Long Stories series. The film is a homage of Leiji Matsumoto's Galaxy Express 999.^{[citation needed]} It's the 17th Doraemon film. The film was directed by Tsutomu Shibayama.
